On The Island

SWIMMING

There are several places to swim on the Island, all of them within 2 km of your accommodations.

LaneCottages
In front of the cottages – with a sandy beach & play area suitable for children.
Kearney House
In front of the house – with a sandy bottom (some rocks along the shoreline). There is a new dock which can also be used for swimming.
Sandy Cove
Just to the south of Kearney House, Sandy Cove has a sandy bottom with some rocks along the shoreline.
Pebble Beach
Pebble Beach is on the east side of island facing Lake Ontario.
Waupoos Island Public Dock
Swimming off the Public Dock offers deeper water, but tends to get weedy later in the summer.

FISHING

There is good fishing in the area. If you don't have a boat, you can fish from the public dock. Perch, walleye and pike are among the fish being caught.

WALKING & BIKING TRAILS

There are miles of walking trails around the farm and along the shores. Mountain bikes are welcome.

BOATING

The area is well-known for sailing. If you have your own boat, the Waupoos Marina offers a boat launch/docking service.
